In this course, participants will learn the basic set of activities historians engage with, namely, reconnaissance, conservation, listing and description of the historical sources as well as developing interpretation and argumentation based on them.

The participants will also have an opportunity to familiarise themselves with two advanced modules on diplomatics and quantitative analysis with SiHP’s expert faculty.

For whom

The course has been designed for you, if you are sensitive to and thinking about immersing yourself into the different ways sources on Nepali history have been assessed, brought to the fore, and employed to serve specific interpretation and arguments.

This course is for you specifically if you want to learn a set of professional tools to challenge the dominant narratives and continue exploring your own journeys into Nepal’s past.
