Bandana Gyawali has a PhD in conceptual history in Development Studies from the University of Helsinki. Her research interests include visual history, history of things, history through lists, ledgers and accounts, historiography of early twentieth century Nepal and studies on self and the other.
Nischal Regmi
Nischal Regmi is a Faculty Associate at the Southasia Institute for History and Philosophy. He is a researcher and educator with 20+ years of experience. Trained in computational engineering, he works at the intersection of technology and society, focusing on digital inequality and ICT policy. He is an expert in quantitative data analysis, has consulted for the IT industry, and contributed to developing the MA in History and Philosophy program at SiHP. He also maintains a strong interest in Southasian philosophical traditions.
Shailesh Pandey
Shailesh Pandey is a Faculty Associate at the Southasia Institute for History and Philosophy. He received his Ph.D. degree in computer science (AI) from the University of York, UK. He has been involved in the development of the syllabi and content for the courses in the MA program, specifically in the technology stream. His current research interests fall under the broad areas of natural languages, emerging technologies and AI.
Shamik Mishra
Shamik Mishra is a Faculty Associate at the Southasia Institute for History and Philosophy. He is formally trained as a botanist, is an archivist by vocation. His research areas include the environment, agrarian history and 19 CE Nepal. Further, his interests lie in traditional medicinal systems and the philosophy of taxonomy.
Yogesh Raj
Yogesh Raj is the Director at the Southasia Institute for History and Philosophy. He is a Nepali historian, linguist and writer. He has a PhD in the History of Science, Technology, and Medicine from Imperial College, London.
